Hi all, I contacted a company called Shearform yesterday to chase the boiler plate for the boiler... when i quoted them the grade plate that is in the updated drawing, they told me that they supply a very similar if not the same grade of boiler plate that they use for boiler fabrication (GR-A516-70).

Does anyone know if this boilerplate would pass Certification?? Or does anyone have a list of contacts who can supply the boilerplate quoted in the updated drawing? I have tried around, and it's very hard to get if you only want to purchase a few small pieces.

Hi there I have some boiler tube, plates, threaded pipe all with certificates etc, full set of plans, castings and a set of cut gears which I'm about to sell I wonder if your interested.

That particular specifciation of boiler plate is not listed in Section 2 - - Materials - of the AMBSC Code Part 2 - Issue 4 1995 (Steel boiler codes), so you would need to discuss this with your boiler inspector before purchasing the material... (Section 2.6 states that alternative material can be used subject to approval by your boiler inspector).
