The only source I was aware of selling the manual was Ernie Winter - did he say why he was no longer selling this? To be honest, the manual, whilst offering some advice, is not strictly necessary, as a set of plans with corresponding errata notes will cover everything you need to construct the engine.
Does anyone else know who may now be selling the manual (approximately 20 A5 pages of hints & tips) - I'm aware of several current builders who (were) not even aware of the existence of this document, having only obtained the plans...
Some of the material in the manual was actually published in Australian Model Engineering:
Volume 2, #25 - (Part I Overview of engine & project)
Volume 2, #27 (Part II- Constructing the Rear Wheel)
Volume 2, #29 (Part III - Flywheel construction (fabricated, rather than cast))
Unfortunately, AME never published any further construction details after this point - but the above three are probably still available as photocopied re-prints from
